Notes Port Stephens residents are now receiving their quarterly electricity bills, which include the Government's recent electricity price increase, with one pensioner's bill jumping from $249.00 to more than $400.00.
Notes some pensioners have advised they genuinely cannot afford to pay these increased bills and will have to cut back on food expenditure.
Notes this price increase is a direct result of the Government's incompetence and failure to invest in electricity infrastructure, despite reaping more than $14 billion in electricity fees.
