2010 Port Stephens Volunteer of the Year Awards

Following the great response to the inaugural Volunteer of the Year Awards last year, when 38 local volunteers were recognised for their hard work and selfless service to the Port Stephens community, Craig has launched the 2010 Port Stephens Voluntere of the Year Awards.

"I believe it is extremely important to give the generous volunteers in our community the thanks they so deserve, but rarely receive" Craig said.

Nominations are now open, with the winner to be announced at a special ceremony on Friday 16th April 2010. Port Stephens residents are urged to nominate a family member, neighbour, friend or colleague who you believe deserves recognition for the volunteer work they do.

Nominations close at 5pm on Monday 22nd March 2010. Please n ote only residents of the State electorate of Port Stephens can be nominated.
